I'm gonna see these guys in a about a month, hopefully their live shows are as energetic as the music...
Same 'okay' album they release each year.
track 9, Satanarchrist, cuts short. Very irrating as this is one of my favorite Anaal Nathrakh songs that they've rerecorded.
Is it just me or is it the file?
dunno, the track is fine on the FLAC version
Ugh, maybe I got really old in the last year and a half, but this doesn't seem that good to me. "Hell is Empty..." is a much better album on all counts. Maybe it's just the over-abundance of high pitch shrieking? It's not "wrathful" or "hateful" it's just dumb and drowns out any chance of enjoying some terrific guitar and drum work.....
I thought "hell" sucked and was way too much death metal. This album seems to be what they tried to do with the codex necro. filthy noisy black metal with a slight technological edge. The MP3 version is broken i think, checked another link and got the same crap. Just have to wait for a better rip or maybe a vinyl release. I'm liking this a lot. A lot better then their "cleaner" and more friendly sound.
Hmm, I have a similar feeling like Barron - there's too much high pitched sounds. There's so much various sounds that the whole album is really hard to listen and most of the stuff is hidden. Mybe it's just a higher level of musical extremality and I'm not extreme enough to bear it yet. Maybe I need to try to drown in it harder. "In the Constellation..." is a constant siege of sounds that overwhelm my senses. For this moment I would say "Hell is empty..." or "Eschaton" were better. But this is a premature opinion. I think that "In the Constallation..." is a "long run" album. The more you listen the more you feel it.
thats pretty vague pretentiousness. the album has been out no less than a year, whatever you "feel" about it within this time frame is of course growing. the only album worth mentioning is the codex necro...
LOL; that's their( generic) prior album, that's been out for that long.
They DO sound rather interchangeable. :)
A big improvement on "Hell is empty...", which too accessible, too clean, and too death metal. This is nasty, really nasty. Sounds like as cross betwteen 'The Codex Necro' and 'Eschaton'. My only problem is that the clean vocals at times go beyond King Diamond and become a little too 'Helloween'.
this is awesome thanks!!!
