The Meads of Asphodel

One of my all time favorites, the meads are truly a unique spectacle, playing a blend of punk, space rock and black metal all meshed up with a healthy dose of catchy middle eastern tunes which all together sounds very organing and with a totally natural flow to it. Aided on every recording by a whole bunch of people, also on almost all albums there's Huw Lloyd Langton of the legendary Hawkwind, who also performs some of the catchiest solos ever!
Another thing of note is the lyrics, Metatron writes some of the best lyrics out there. An outstanding band that deserves your attention!!!

Enslaved - Live Retaliation

A video release, just to keep some minimal diversity, recorded in Krakov, Poland just before Below The Lights was released, so lot's of songs from the newer era, whtch I love, but without forgetting some early classics. Also an excellent Autopsy cover and an absolutely perfect end of the gig with the excellent Slaget I Skogen Bortenfor song from the Hordanes Land EP.

Chaos Moon

Absolutely breathtaking black metal from the States, incredible composition and vocals with some amazing use of keyboards, some songs sound truly beautiful while still retaining the dark aesthetic. Can't recommend this enough!!!!

Gräuen Pestanz / Miasma - Into The Fire Of Isolation

Excellent split between these two underground acts, Miasma performs some excellent torutred raw as fuck black metal, while Gräuen Pestanz starts off with some amazing ritualistic ambient and finishes with a great black metal track. The whole release is filled with a pich black feeling of total darkness. Great release!!

Mortuus

Excellent Swedish satanic black metal, excellent song structure and production, reminds a lot of Ofermod and Ondskapt which is hardly surprising as it features members from said bands. Highly recommended!!

Hate Forest

Hate Forest has been posted before, but since the band is split-up a while ago I decided to put all the songs ever released by them, personally Hate Forest are the best black metal band to come out of Ukraine, so here's the whole lot for those who maybe missed them the first two times around.
