Hailing from Germany, Tha-Norr is a black metal band from the second wave of black metal. Band has only two releases, Assault On Aerie (Demo 1994) and Wolfenzeitalter (1995). A Split EP with Desaster (GER) was planned but never released due to several reasons.

A Swedish black metal “super group” that was formed by members of bands like Dark Funeral, Hypocrisy and Ophthalamia. They released two albums and then the project was put on ice for the future. The band has changed their name to Total War in 2001 because another band of the same name already existed.

Klage is a depressive/suicidal black metal band from Germany.
The only member is A. Nachtswehr - All instruments and vocalisation and session drums are done by Roac (Kargvint, Mørkekunst, ex-Skalder).
The band was founded in 2003 and is signed at Fimbul Productions.

Probably best know for being one of the projects Jon Nödtveidt played in, The Black consisting also of Vinterland members delivers pure satanic black metal, in your face, melodic and obscure this is pure swedish hell!!!! new album is expected to be released this year after a 14(!!) year hiatus.
one of the best debuts of last year (hell, one of the best albums), Ash Pool plays amazing riff-based black metal, Dominic Fernow is the main guy behind this, for those who don't know he is a prominent member of the underground, owner of the excellent Hospital Prod. + he plays in a number of other noise/experimental projects; probably most well known for Prurient. But don't be fooled expecting some black noise project, this is pure black metal, no experimental bs. Total support!!!

one of the best black metal compilations ever (if not the best), released back in '95 this one features some of the best tracks from the best nordic bands; Some of the tracks are taken from rare / demo releses, this is a compilations that is simply mandatory!!
Another amazing band from france, excellent dark riff-based black metal with even some experimental touches. Highly Recommended!!!
another band that's on the strange side, really f*cked up bm from finland, this is raw "avantgarde" black metal (I think the cover says it all), the production adds to the strangeness of the album; the drums are really high in the mix and everything feels out of place, but after a couple of listens this will definitely get under your skin! Recommended!!!
