not a big fan of technical death metal. and never heard portal. if this is straight forward death/black metal then this is my stuff.

great blog. keep it up! been listeing to the new Nargaroth non-stop. even though i gave up listening to bm because how much generic it has become.

"Occult mudstorm" - ha ha, perfect. I love Portal. Outre was no disappointment up here between my ears I can assure you. I hope I can get to the Maryland Dethfest 2010 to see them conjure live.

I have heard that they are mesmorizing live

Jake Northey October 27, 2009 at 8:51 AM

yeah, "occultmudstorm" - hilarious haha
I live in Aus, these behemoths barely play any shows outside their home state, which is sadly not mine, but finally, finally, im taking time off next month to go "see" them on a rare performance. anyone who lives in maryland - do yourself a favour.
and kudos to profound lore - ordered it and received - within a week! rock on

music fo summoning cthulhu...i'm glad i gave this a chance, because i didn't care for outre. some parts remind me of a really noisy gorguts. i wonder how this works live

i witnessed portal a few months ago.. i was really curious how their music would be translated during a live show because it was so odd to me.. and what an odd experience. from the moment the curator stepped onto the stage and the whole first few minutes were basically the band blasting and him just standing there physically suggesting that he was about to speak something monuMENTAL.. making these weird hand movements like he was performing invisible magic tricks and basically saying "voila!".. but instead bellowing. it was really bizarre. it was one of the more interesting appearances ive seen in my life. very dark and theatrical.
