Woods of Ypres

A black metal band from Toronto, Ontario, Canada.They have released 1 demo and an album, the demo, "Against The Seasons (Cold Winter Songs From The Dead Summer Heat)" is considered as good as an album by most. It is a much rawer, brutal and generally more black release than "Pursuit of the Sun & Allure of the Earth", which is tends to use a lot of acoustic guitars and clean vocals, and deserves the term "melodic black metal" much more than the demo.
